AI for Culture — Not Culture for AI

As artificial intelligence rapidly transforms creativity, France is charting a clear and distinct path: harnessing AI as an ethical, creative, and responsible force in service of our heritage, our artists, and our cultural diversity.
The aim? To build a sustainable AI ecosystem,  one that respects creators’ rights, safeguards the integrity of information, and drives innovation across all cultural domains.
At Villa Albertine, through a range of initiatives, artists and institutions are engaging with this vision,  exploring new projects, experimenting with technologies, and opening up a space for critical and creative dialogue.
Camille Jeanjean is New Media Officer at Villa Albertine, based in New York. She holds a Master Multimedia studies at Iscom Paris. Currently, she led French XR, Podcast, Video games industries in the United States and helps New Media artists to develop their projects in residency. She has advised cultural organizations, government and studios in France focus on emerging technology. She is particularly interested in how dance experimentation, interdisciplinary approach and intercultural participation can be a driving force in solving society’s social challenges.
